Psychology is a scientific discipline that deals with the behavior of man, his inner experience and the external and internal conditions and reasons. Psychologists attempt to structure and from empirical studies to establish interactions and direct processes. Psychologists are active in both in science and in therapeutic and counseling professions. 




Sigmund Freud is best known until now as a psychologist. He founded psychoanalysis. He described the unconscious as a directing element of the psyche. Large parts of his teachings are now considered obsolete, the findings of his pupil Carl Jung and Alfred Adler, but are still fundamental to the current analytical psychology, which includes the interpretation of dreams belongs, and individual psychology.
